The e-commerce sector continues to grow by leaps and bounds. It is predicted that worldwide online spending will pass the $4 trillion mark two years from now. The robust sector has also forced many traditional retailers to either close down or shift to selling online. Retail company Cushman and Wakefield said that it expects up to 12,000 retailers to close this year.

Present in nine countries in South America, MercadoLibre has an online population of 341 million. Like Amazon and Alibaba, it is a thriving online marketplace that sells items from almost all industries.
E-commerce giant #4: Naspers
Unlike the three other firms listed above, Naspers has actually been around for more than a century. It is a media company which made an investment inTencent in the year 2000s.
